About CSCS

The Canadian Screenwriters Collection Society (CSCS) was created by the Writers Guild of Canada with the mandate to claim, collect, administer and distribute secondary authors' levies that film and television writers are entitled to under the national copyright legislation of several European countries and other jurisdictions. In this context, secondary authors' monies include private home copying (blank tape) levies, rental and lending levies, educational use levies and cable retransmission levies.

If you are a writer with a writing credit on a produced Canadian feature film or television program, you are entitled to join CSCS. Click on the quick links for more information on membership with the CSCS.
