The WGC Shadowing Program

Shadow program

The WGC Professional Development Committee wants to generate more opportunities for writers of all levels. To that end, we're setting up a Shadowing Program, which will enable writers to observe the writing room process and make new industry connections. The shadowing will be an unpaid position, meaning shadows are not to participate creatively (for example, being “camera off, mic off” in Zoom rooms). Length of shadow time is recommended as 1-2 days, up to a maximum of 1 week. Exact time to be agreed between "shadow" and "showrunner."

If you are interested in shadowing a writers’ room, sign up HERE. If you are a showrunner, sign up HERE

While the shadow program is run by the WGC Professional Development Committee, WGC staff supports the coordination and administration of the program.
